We’ve opened our 10-court padel venue a stone’s throw away from Brent Cross Shopping Centre in Hendon, north London.
Social Sports Brent Cross, the second venue from Social Sports Society, is now open for bookings. Padel, best described as a hybrid between tennis and squash, is the fastest-growing sport in the UK. Played in doubles, it is a sociable, fun sport that’s suitable for all ages and abilities.
Social Sports Brent Cross will offer a range of booking options to its customers, including pay-and-play court bookings together with a full schedule of £10 intro sessions and classes led by the dedicated venue coaching team. All bookings can be made via the Playtomic app (playtomic.io).
The venue will be open between 7am and 10pm, from Monday through to Sunday. There will be an on-site shop providing racket hire, together with options to buy rackets, balls and merchandise.
Amenities include on-site toilets and changing facilities, together with convenient parking located a two-minute walk from the courts, at Brent Cross Shopping Centre John Lewis car park.
Players new to the game can benefit from the £10 Intro to Padel class, bookable under the Academy tab on Playtomic. These sessions will cover the basics of padel, including rules, basic shots, tactics and court positioning. All equipment, including racket and balls, will be provided on a complimentary basis for these sessions.
Social Sports Brent Cross will also be open for corporate bookings, including team away days, socials and seasonal parties.
It’s our second venue, following the opening of Social Sports Wembley in summer 2024. Social Sports Wembley has welcomed over 3,000 players since its courts opened.
Social Sports Society is founded by Jesper Konstantinov, a London-based entrepreneur with a history of connecting urban communities through creating innovative gathering spaces. ‘Padel is one of the most fun, accessible sports,’ says Konstantinov, ‘It can be played at any level, it’s easy to learn, and it has a unique ability to bring together a cross-section of society.’
