Social Sports Society among top 25 influencers in UK padel

Congratulations to our CEO & founder Jesper Konstantinov, together with our Director of Growth & Development Rachel Tan, who have been named among the top 25 influencers on the UK’s padel scene by The Padel Paper.

Working closely together, Jesper & Rachel are an absolute dream team. They combine their respective expertise (Jesper in hospitality, leisure & social entrepreneurship, as the former co-owner of Urban Deli; Rachel in social impact, architecture and urban development as an award-winning trained architect with a decade of experience in social housing) with infectious charm & shared vision – and we’re so grateful this has been recognised by the press.

We’re honoured for our senior team members to have been named among the biggest names in British padel, together with GB men’s #1 player Christian Medina Murphy and Padium co-founder Houman Ashrafzadeh.

Released in the wake of Social Sports Society’s first venue launch in Wembley, the feature put the spotlight on Social Sports Society’s mission to repurpose urban spaces in order to provide multi-sport facilities for all ages and abilities. “It’s rather marvellous news that padel happens to be central to achieving that ambition,” wrote editor Mike Dale.

As Jesper told The Padel Paper in a previous interview: “Padel is one of the most fun, accessible sports. It can be played at any level, it’s easy to learn and has a unique ability to bring together a cross-section of society.”

Francesca Specter, Head of Marketing & PR, added: “It’s all about spreading the word out to the largest possible demographic rather than making ourselves an elite club. We will be responsive to whatever the demands may be in the local community and make it as affordable to play as we possibly can.”
