Interested?
We’re looking for a passionate person with experience as an Business Manager or Operations Manager. You must have a minimum 2 years’ experience in one of these or an equivalent role – ideally in a project-based and / or service delivery organisation.
You will value and instill organisation, nurturing high standards and guiding rapid progress by avoiding problems in advance. We seek someone who can cut through complexity, ensuring business critical operations are designed effectively and managed efficiently.
However, we also want you to have lots of positive energy, collaborating across teams and externals, with an entrepreneurial spirit focused on external outcomes. You will also help nurture our purpose and values. So, do you have a commitment and thirst to learn? Challenging the ‘as-is’ with adventure, grace and integrity and having a good dose of fun each week?

You will:
- Work directly with team mates across our leadership, central and venue operations, property and project delivery teams.
- Manage and support across an exciting breadth of critical business functions.
- Support colleagues in a collaborative, pragmatic and positive style, whilst driving efficient operations.
- Help ensure we deliver our overall mission, and realise the benefits of our cross-cutting social impact projects.
- Maintain and build great relationships with partners, suppliers and other external stakeholders.

Responsibilities summary: We want you to grow and develop with us, you don’t need to tick all the boxes right now!
- Define and manage governance aspects and reporting the leadership team, investors and external stakeholders
- Lead the design and collaborative use of critical business information tools
- Design, manage and lead areas across procurement, commercial, partner/supplier and financce (particularly budgeting and financial or management accounting depending on your experience)
- Own and optimise business processes, and automate through modern digital tools.
- Get involved in community and customer experience and solution design e.g. customer offering and community opportunities and overall social impact.

General qualifications and experience:
Training or evidenced professional skills and knowledge of one of the following:
· Fundraising
· Operations
· Business management
· Sports/leisure related products or services
People
- 2+ years professional experience in a service organisation, with growth and / or project focus.
- Able to build relationships, coordinate and manage with people from all ages, backgrounds, disciplines, and professional seniority.
- Contract negotiation, supplier management and issue resolution
Process
- Experience of owning the management or coordination of process.
- Strengths in defining and/or improving ways of working
- Capabilties with guiding people on work flows )
Digital
- Experience in designing workflows in collaborative tools (incl. Monday.com; Miro; MS365 / Teams – but we’re open to new ideas!) – highly beneficial but not essential.
- Skills / experience in – and character that likes to save time through – use of digital systems
- Fully proficient with MS 365 (ideally incl. Powerpoint, SharePoint and Excel)
Information
- Ability to guide through complexity and communicate essential, concise messages.
- Character that guides teams to be cohesive, effective and continually improving efficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
